Fresh Heaven MAXX O POWER LAMINAR AIRFLOW UNIT

The Fresh Heaven MAXX O POWER laminar air-flow ​units are part of the structural arrangement of the suspended ceiling of an operating theater.

• Operating principle

Fresh Heaven MAXX O POWER unit supplies cleanair in a low-turbulent and vertical flow into an operating room. Thus, the contamination of sensitive areas and equipment can be held at a minimized level.

The Fresh Heaven MAXX O POWER is equipped with are circulating POWER module which sucks air within a room. Recirculated air from the POWER module can be mixed with fresh air supplied by AHU (20-30%) in the mixing chamber. The mixed air is then delivered into the pressure chamber, filtered, and diffused into the operating area.

Fresh Heaven MAXX O POWER unit design provides space in the center for surgical lighting installation. The laminarizer’s circumference is lit by LED lighting integrated into the casing’s sides. To enhance laminar airflow and minimize air turbulence, a PET-G soft wall can be integrated around the entire circumference of the unit.

There are available 5 sizes, and an air volume is given at a velocity of 0.30 m/s:

• A – 320 x 320 x 45 cm, air volume 11 059 m³/h
• B – 300 x 300 x 45 cm, air volume 9 720 m³/h
• C – 300 x 240 x 45 cm, air volume 7 776 m³/h
• D – 300 x 200 x 45 cm, air volume 6 480 m³/h
• E – 240 x 240 x 45 cm, air volume 6 221 m³/h

Filters offer includes HEPA filters in an aluminum frame 104 mm high. The filter features a gel gasket and protective grid on its clean air side. The filters are available in following filtration classes:

• H13
• H14

Pre-filter for POWER module:

• F7 filtration class
• pre-filters not part of PCB, PCS and PCU POWER module configurations

Casing:

• Varnished steel RAL 9010
• Stainless steel V2A ~AISI304

Outlets:

• Single-layer PES (polyester) fabric
• Double-layer with differential airflow (higher air velocity in the central area, measuring 100 x 200 cm)

POWER modules – for improved acoustic features the chamber of the POWER fan module is lined with mineral wool slabs. There are available following POWER modules:

• PU4 – installed in a false ceiling, suction is performed through the grille on bottom side of PU4.
• PCB – installed in a false ceiling, suction is performed through connecting ducts (diameter 355 mm) on the back side of PCB connected to e.g. CGx installed in false ceiling or lower/upper wall corners.
• PCS – installed in a false ceiling, suction is performed through connecting ducts (diameter 355 mm) on lateral sides of PCS connected to e.g. CGx installed in false ceiling or lower/upper wall corners.
• PCU – installed in a false ceiling, suction is performed through OMF grilles (above floor and optionally under ceiling) connected to rectangular channels in OT+ partition/facing.
• PTI – recirculation PTI towers installed in operating room, suction is performed through grilles in towers (above floor)
• PTE – recirculation PTE towers installed outside operating room(in an adjoining room), suction is performed through grilles in towers (above floor)

Unit controls and selectable components:

• Control panel – Siemens Logo! PLC with display enables to switch on/off the unit, switchover to economy mode, activate and deactivate of lighting, alarm (fan failure,clogged HEPA filters or pre-filters)
• MODBUS – Customers can use the MODBUS interface of a BMS to establish connection and regulate a FHMO.P unit with a central-plant air handling unit.
• Differential-pressure switch – monitors differential pressure of filters (pressure connection via two plastic tubes), can be equipped with connections to a filter-exchange indicator
• Filter-exchange indicator – may be installed in the central passage of the low-turbulence flow unit to signal filter clogging via red LED
• Lighting- LED lighting can be installed around the entire perimeter of the laminarair-flow field
• Border soft wall as PET-G screen – to minimize air turbulences, maximize laminar air-flow zone and prevent reduction in its cross-section – a soft wall (curtain)can be integrated on the entire circumference of the unit. Standard width 30 cm.
• Air-mixing module – is designed for supply of fresh air and for its uniform mixing with recirculated air.
• Sound attenuator – made of lacquered steel, lined with mineral wool slabs (installed between FHMO inlet and POWER module)
• Junction duct – Performed in galvanized steel (length is determined by the project requirements)
• Cooling assembly – PTE and PTI can be equipped with an air-water heat exchanger
• Exhaust-air panels RA/MA (clean room wall panel featuring an OMS grille with adjustment on the bottom side and a round socket for duct connection on the top side)
• Exhaust-air ducts for OT+ panels
• OMS/OMN/OMF grilles
• CGxair outlets with HEPA filters
